Summer Limeade

In a blender place: 1 can frozen limeade, 1/2 can sprite, 2 cups frozen strawberries, and the pulp of two limes.  Blend it up and drink it down.

  • 6 lemons
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 6 cups cold water
Juice the lemons to make 1 cup of juice. To make your labor easier, firmly roll the lemons between your hand and counter top before cutting in half and juicing. In a gallon pitcher combine 1 cup lemon juice, 1 cup sugar, and 6 cups cold water. Stir. Adjust water to taste. Chill and serve over ice.

This requires some cooking:
  • 1 3/4 cups white sugar
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups lemon juice
 In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Bring to boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until chilled.  Remove seeds from lemon juice, but leave pulp. In pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups water.

Aloha Punch

  • 1 tub Crystal Light Tropical Passions Low Cal Soft Drink Mix, any flavor
  • 4 cups (1 quart) chilled pineapple juice
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 bottle (1 liter) chilled club soda
  • Ice cubes

Place drink mix in large glass or plastic pitcher.  Add pineapple juice and water.  Stir to dissolve.  Refrigerate.  Add club soda and ice just before serving.  Garnish with maraschino cherries and orange and pineapple slices arrnaged on bamboo skewers.

Lime Fizz

1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
1 quart lime sherbet
1 16 ounce bottle carbonated lemon-lime beverage
Maraschino cherries
Thin slices of lime

Place lime juice, sugar, and pineapple juice in blender and whirl for 30 seconds. Add half the lime sherbet and whirl again for a few seconds. Pour into eight 10-ounce glasses (two-thirds full) and fill almost to top with carbonated lemon-lime beverage. Top each cup with a scoop of sherbet. Garnish with maraschino cherry and half slice of fresh lime. Serve with straw. Makes 8 servings.

Apple Orchard Punch


1 (32 fluid ounce) bottle apple juice, chilled

1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen cranberry juice concentrate

1 cup orange juice

1 1/2 liters ginger ale

1 apple

In a large punch bowl, combine apple juice, cranberry juice concentrate and orange juice. Stir until dissolved, then slowly pour in the ginger ale. Thinly slice the apple vertically, forming whole apple slices.  Float apple slices on top of punch.
