Carrot Pudding

One’s favorite book is as elusive as one’s favorite pudding. –E.M. Forster

  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 1 cup grated potatoes
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup raisins or more
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 level teaspoon of soda
  • 1 level teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves and nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt

Mix together and steam 3 hours.
