1 ½ sticks salted butter, softened
Good quality thick loaf of french or sourdough bread
broil bread for 3 to 5 minutes, watching the whole time. Remove when butter has started to brown but don’t be afraid to let it get really brown. The flavor really kicks in when the butter’s color changes. Everyone will wonder what you seasoned it with when all along it was just butter.
Slice into strips and serve immediately. It goes with everything and makes any meal ‘special.’
