- 1 3-oz package cream cheese
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 Tablespoons cocoa
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 stick margarine (a 1-lb. package of margarine has 4 ‘sticks’ of margarine inside)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Melt margarine and mix with other ingredients. Mold into 2 logs; wrap in foil and put in freezer for about one hour. After an hour the fudge should be set up enough to hold it’s shape when you slice it.
What is one square of margarine? And then what do you do with the fudge after it is in freezer for one hour as a log?
Hi Melissa,
Sometimes I say ‘one stick’ of margarine or ‘one square’ of margarine and what I mean by that is when you buy a one pound package of butter or margarine and open it up, you will find four ‘sticks’ or four ‘squares’ of butter in the one pound package. So you would use one stick out of the four in a one pound package of butter (or margarine). I put the fudge in the freezer and let it harden for at least an hour. I wrap the fudge in saran wrap and then tin foil over that and just keep it in the freezer until I’m ready to serve it.
Thank you very much 😊 I am going to give it a whirl tomorrow and see how it goes☀️
